Fun at the Beach

WELCOME HOME, MEGAN

Our pioneer has returned home to us-- very dirty and tired. She said it was a great experience and she didn't even get any blisters. I guess all of those long walks with Brian paid off!! I asked her if she was tired and needed to get some sleep and she said, "No, I need to finish reading Harry Potter." Typical Megan. She had to go 4 whole days without reading, I think that is a record for her. I will have her post later and let you know more about the trek.

While Megan was gone, Holly and Grandma Arlene came down for a visit. Here are the Monkeys at the park.

We didn't last too long there since it is soooo hot here. I think it was in the 90's while we were at the park which is too hot for us.

We hope all of you had a great holiday. We are usually at the beach this time of year, but we are having fun hanging out at home. Here is some of our latest adventures.

We went to this great park in Eugene called Skinners Butte. It is a great place to spend the day. They have this little rain shower that comes on every few minutes so the kids (or parents) can cool off.
This is Melissa's summer to try to avoid the camera. Here is one of the few shots I tricked her into letting me take.
Miranda is always ready for a photo op.
If you are wondering what happened to Megan, she and Brian went to run errands while we played. Sorry, no pictures of her today!!

Megan and Melissa are playing Jr Golf this summer. Last week when I was dropping them off Max decided that he was going to golf while they were gone. Notice the tee ball glove on his hand-he is such a professional. I am not quite sure what to do about the fact that he golfs left handed. I had him all lined up to hit out into the yard and the next thing I knew, he was hitting a real golf ball right at the house!!
